The Philosophy Students’ Association (PSA) at McGill University organizes philosophical activities, as well as social and fundraising events, throughout the year. It receives support from the Arts Undergraduate Society and the Department of Philosophy.
The PSA is committed to hosting undergraduate colloquia several times a year, and running Philopolis, a large-scale conference, in collaboration with other Montreal universities. The PSA also supports two undergraduate philosophy journals: Fragments publishes work exclusively by McGill students, while Pensées publishes work by students across Canada.
Each semester, the PSA organizes a wine and cheese, samosa sales, and an end of term party. In the winter semester, the PSA also sells philosophy-related merchandise such as T-shirts, cardigans, and buttons.
Feel free to drop by the philosophy lounge on the ninth floor of the Leacock Building in room LEA 931. On top of being a great place to meet fellow philosophy students, the recently-renovated lounge, equipped with its own collection of books and materials, is an ideal place to study.
